Guilty!Yes! I'm done with all the layouts!! WHEW!!
Happy me! Whether we're satisified is another story. Reg said they're all nice, but we'll see if he notices anything he might want to change later.
Yesterday was a crazy day! Jason decided to treat me to the movies - his send off to my new school year. He's so sweet; he wanted to do something to bolster my confidence from my anxiety over how things will go with my coworkers. Such a sweet guy, he volunteered to watch a movie with me that Reg wouldn't watch.
Some of you may not know this, but Reggie has reservations about watching thrillers or horror movies.
I rib him about it, but it makes him so much more cuter in my eyes. Reg says he doesn't like it when I freak out or get scared but... well, I'll let you think that too. LMAO! My manly man!
So we watched "Skeleton Key". I liked it, but then again, I like anything with Kate Hudson in it. As the plot began to thicken Jason whispered to me, "10 ways to get yourself killed" and I busted out laughing (get it??). He kept making all these funny comments and I think some moviegoers were a bit irritated with me. I felt bad, but couldn't help laughing!
When we got home, I suggested that we watch another movie, but my treat this time (thus negating his entire treating-treatment - LOL!). As we were leaving... you wouldn't believe what happened. I wish I could draw a diagram...

That'll do! LOL! You have no idea how ridiculously long it took to make that... Oh what a dummy, I forgot to label the vehicles.
Okay!! From the left: our car, neighbor's truck, then Jay's car parked perpindicular, alongside the road. Our parking space is on a hill, by the way. We started backing out, and my neighbor was in the process of leaving as well. Jason was worried that perhaps he parked too far up, so he asked me to back out enough to see if my neighbor was going to make it fine. It did seem he was having trouble because he was taking forever to get out! I managed get across the road and when we did, the sight that greeted us was not good. The left side of the truck was kissing Jay's front bumper. Let me rephrase that: Jay's MOTHER's car's front bumper!
Jay immediately got out of my car and I parked. He tapped the guy's truck and told him to drive back up. So he did, butttt (and I don't know why he did this) he drove back up at an angle! So the damage was doubled on his way up! Luckily there were no dents, but the entire front bumper was scratched and riddled with white paint, transferred from the truck. OMG! My mouth was just hanging open!
In the moment that the guy drove back up, I wanted to tell Jason, "Never mind, let him stay where he is and you back your car up!" But it all happened so fast.
When the guy got out of his truck, he just stood there and stared. I kept my comments to myself, but I wanted to ask him what he was waiting for. He didn't offer any solution until I told him he needed to pay for the damage - which he said he would do. He was in a hurry to get going too because he was going to be late for work.
Well, it's not like they can run away from us. LOL! So Jason an dI dropped the car off to the same auto-repair it had gotten out of just two weeks ago. I couldn't help but laugh when the technician saw Jason and said, "Here again?" They had gotten into a bad accident last month. What luck, huh? Well, they said it would be done in two days and offered a loaner for the meantime, so all is well. AND luckily Jason's mother is off-island and won't be back for another week so maybe they can get away with her not finding out.
What a day! I felt like this was all my fault!
We went out for a few drinks after to calm his nerves. LOL! Tonight, we're supposed to take Sheila out to unwind, but Cherryl's out with a fever and the flu - get well soon Che! Maybe just dinner for us (Sheila and Kim). I won't be able to give Reggie his nightly foot massage, which I just started on Wednesday. I bought a basin to place his feet in, with hot water, and massage for about 10 minutes.
I aim to please! I told him that hopefully, I'm not too tired when school starts and that I'd like to make it a frequent thing. Wish me luck on that!
